Isoteak Synthetic Teak Decking Overview
ISOTEAK synthetic teak decking system is designed for marine and boat deck application, covering boat decks, motorhome floors, for use as anti-slip floor coverings, and for decorative finishes that imitate teak texture.
It’s flexible material is made from compound of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin with some or all of the following: plasticisers, stabilizers, fillers, lubricants and pigments. It is a very dense material that is quite flexible at temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius.

System composition
Main triple plank profile
The main unit of the Isoteak system is a three-layer profile (triple plank) 150 mm wide, consisting of three strips 45 mm wide each and black 5 mm caulking between them. Packaging: 20-metre roll, equivalent to 3.0 m2, in a cardboard box measuring 40 x 40 x 17 cm and weighing 17 kg.
These profiles allow for a slight bend in the longitudinal plane, sufficient to repeat the bend of the boat’s sides. These profiles can be assembled into decks of any configuration.

Double insulated connecting lock:
When developing our profile, we paid particular attention to the reliability of the interlocking profiles. We have developed a unique lock with a double connection. This lock allows the profiles to be glued together and then welded for greater reliability.

#1. Reliable tongue-and-groove connection allows installation of the material with or without hot welding. The original tongue-and-groove connection prevents any splitting of profile joints.
#2. Joint surface with micro-grooves for easy glue application. The micro-grooves prevent glue from dripping, help to distribute glue more evenly, and also reduce penetration of the glue onto the material surface.
#3. The welding/compensation groove allows to weld the material reliably with welding rod. In a case of installation without welding, it works as a joint compensator, removing excess sealant and air into the groove cavity. It improves the quality of laying and simplifying installation.
#4. The unique bottom pattern with multidirectional grooves ensures perfect contact with sealant and deck. Also it prevents accumulation of air bubbles under material. Bottom pattern has optimal depth so it’s not necessary now to caulk the edges.
#5. Notch marks make it easy when you need to cut the profile along accurately.
#6. The optimal profile width of 150 mm designed to reduce labor costs by 30% then in other systems.
#7. The material has good flexibility to repeat the side bends of the decks and make installation simpler. Material thickness of 5mm is optimal for a durable and lightweight decking.
Additional profiles
Two additional profiles are available to create a classic yacht deck design: 60 mm wide for creating frames, 190 mm wide for central strips, as well as for cutting curved frame panel parts.
BORDER PROFILE
The border profile 60 mm allows you to create details in classic teak yacht design by means of framing. The profile is 60 mm wide and consists of a 55 mm teak layer and a 5 mm black strip with a welding lock. * Packaging: 25-metre roll, 3 pcs in a cardboard box measuring 40 x 40 x 20 cm and weighing 25 kg. Available to order by the metre.
WIDE PROFILE
The wide profile 190 cm wide can be used to create joint strips in the centre of the boat, for example in the bow. In addition, the wide profile is used to cut out frame details, such as curves. * Packaging: 25-metre roll in a cardboard box measuring 40 x 40 x 20 cm and weighing 28 kg. Available to order by the metre.
Processing Method
In this section, you will find information about methods for processing Isoteak decking, such as cutting, gluing and welding. Isoteak is fairly easy to process using hand tools, but it also processes well on machines.
CUTTING WITH A HAND TOOL
For manual cutting of the material, you can use universal durable knives with replaceable blades. The material is easily cut with such a knife at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. If you want to cut in cold conditions, simply warm up the cutting line with a hot air gun.
CUTTING WITH A HAND ROUTER
You can use hand routers to cut and process the edges of the material. Keep in mind that processing PVC material differs from processing wood, so first test your router on a sample piece of material. We recommend cutting with 6 mm downcut cutter to ensure a cleaner upper edge of the cut
CUTTING WITH A CIRCULAR SAW
You can use table or hand circular saw to cut the Isoteak. To cut material on a circular saw, you can use saw blades for both cross-cutting and ripcutting. Keep in mind that processing PVC material differs from processing wood, so first test your saw on a sample piece of material.
CUTTING WITH A CNC
Our material can be cut on CNC machines using milling cutters or oscillating knives. For precise cutting, we recommend using a vacuum clamp and working at reduced feed rates.
PROFILES GLUING
Profiles can be glued using waterproof cyanoacrylate adhesive or PVC adhesive. Gluing is used to create small panels or to install profiles step-by-step directly on the deck. For more reliable mechanical fastening of large panels, it is recommended to use welding after gluing or to use pre-welded sheets.
HOT WELDING
The material is securely welded together using hot welding with our Isoteak welding rod, forming waterproof seams (when welded correctly). Welding process requires a high-performance hot air gun with digital temperature control, which you can purchase from us. Please check the welding modes with us before starting work. INSTALLATION (GLUING)
Isoteak is glued to the deck using polyurethane adhesives. We recommend using single-component MS polymer adhesive sealants that we have tested, as well as two-component polyurethane adhesives that we recommend.
Color option

The standard warehouse program is classic teak color, light-color, and gray color with black stripes. Material with white stripes is available; please check with our specialists for availability of this material in stock. For large orders, we can manufacture any combination according to your request.
